It has been an scary, busy, and frustrating year for many of us. We watched stunned as the events of Epiphany 2021 unfolded. We’ve felt the joy of a post-COVID reality only to have Delta come bringing new uncertainty. Fires blazed in the west. Canada and Siberia experienced record heat. Tornadoes ripped up lives two weeks before Christmas. Oh, and let’s not forget Omicron’s arrival on scene just in time for the holidays.
But like every year, blue skies emerged from clouds, rain fell on parched ground, and every night the stars came out.
So, I leave you a blessing for this Christmas season.
May you who are tired, find rest.
May you who are uncertain, find peace.
May you are sick, find healing.
May you who grasp for hope, find one tiny candle flame.
And may we all find the One who loves us in the eyes of one another.
I will be taking a break from posting through Christmastide, but I will see you in 2022 where we’ll begin again, looking for the return of the One who will make all things new.
